We take privacy seriously, especially as a cybersecurity education company. We practice what we preach.

When you join our waitlist, we collect one piece of information:

Your email address submitted voluntarily through the signup form on our website.

We do not collect your name, phone number, location, IP address, or any other personal information through the waitlist form.

How we use your email

Your email address will be used for one purpose only:

To notify you when the Deadbolt app is available to download on the App Store.

We will not send marketing emails, newsletters, or promotional content unless you explicitly opt in to receive them in the future.

Who we share your data with

No one. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your email address with any third party. Your email is stored in a private Google Form response sheet accessible only to the Deadbolt team.

Where your data is stored

Your email address is stored securely in Google infrastructure (Google Forms / Google Sheets), which is protected by Google enterprise-grade security measures.

How long we keep your data

We retain your email address until:

The Deadbolt app launches and you are notified, or
You request deletion (see below), or
The Deadbolt project is discontinued, at which point all collected emails will be permanently deleted.

Your rights

You have the right to:

Request deletion of your email from our waitlist at any time by emailing hello@deadboltfamily.com.
Request access to confirm whether we hold your email address.
Withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

We will honor any deletion request within 7 days.

Children's privacy

The waitlist signup form is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect email addresses from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted their email, please contact us at hello@deadboltfamily.com and we will delete it immediately.

When the Deadbolt app launches, it will include a comprehensive COPPA-compliant privacy framework for child users, with verifiable parental consent required for all users under 13.

Cookies and tracking

The deadboltfamily.com website does not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics tools, or any form of behavioral tracking. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking scripts on the waitlist page.

Changes to this policy

If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. When the Deadbolt app launches, a comprehensive privacy policy covering in-app data practices will be published.
